A startling case of fraud has surfaced, targeting vulnerable Kenyan women residing overseas. Samuel Wainana, who presents himself as a "Bishop," is accused of masterminding an elaborate scam, swindling victims out of more than 17 million Kenyan Shillings.

The scam centered around a promise to construct an orphanage to aid children, a cause that inspired many to donate generously. However, investigations now indicate the project was entirely fraudulent.

In an emotional expose on #VooTV, the victims recounted their heartbreaking experiences:

• A victim based in Germany lost an astounding 12 Million Kshs. She remarked, "Nikama aliniroga" ("It's like he hypnotized me"). Her losses included a 4.5 million Ksh house in Kenya bought for him, a 3.9 million Ksh Toyota SUV, and direct access to her bank account.

• Another victim, Ms. Beatrice, also in Germany, contributed 100,000 Ksh intended for installing electricity at the alleged orphanage.

Rather than assisting children, it is claimed that Wainana used the funds to support a multi-million shilling AirBnB property, built at the expense of his loyal victims.
